Coach Kelvin Brown was drafted by the Hamilton Tiger Cats in the CFL Supplemental Draft in 1978 soon after his MVP Performance in a Championship Game on the Oakville College Bruins Football Team when he played the entire 60 minutes as a Running Back, Defensive Back, Punt Returner, and Kick Returner. Coach Kelvin Brown has been on Six Championship Football Teams: one on the Hamilton Hurricanes, two on the Oakville College Bruins, and two on the Stoney Creek Patriots, as a Player; along with one on the Steel City Patriots as an Offensive Coordinator and Assistant Head Coach.
With a lifelong dedication to football, Coach Scott Boumeester brings extensive experience as both a player and coach to the field. A former linebacker and fullback, Scott developed his skills in high school-T.L. Kennedy Mississauga and the Mississauga Football League before playing two (2) seasons at middle linebacker for the Sheridan College Bruins. While excelling in football, he also pursued a successful soccer career, playing semi-professionally while coaching and refereeing at senior levels.
Scott’s coaching journey began in 2008 with the Burlington Stampeders Minor Football organization, where he spent over 13 years developing athletes. Coach started as a summer rep linebacker coach before rising to Defensive Coordinator and Head Coach across multiple levels, including Bantam, Junior Varsity, and Varsity. In 2022, he expanded his coaching role with the Northern Football Conference (NFC), leading the linebacker unit for SCP.
A true players' coach, Coach Boumeester firmly believes that “you cannot coach effort” and demands full commitment in both preparation and game execution. His leadership extends beyond the field, having served on Not-for-Profit Boards and dedicating his time to community causes, including women’s shelters and Special Olympics Ontario, where he was Head Coach of Soccer for Ontario leading teams at Provincial and National Games.
Since moving to Crystal Beach from Burlington post-retirement in 2022, Scott has continued his impact on young athletes at The Greater Fort Erie Secondary School (GFESS). He initially joined as the linebackers coach, moving to Head Coach in 2023 and currently serves as the Defensive Coordinator and linebackers’ coach for the seniors.
For Coach Boumeester, winning isn’t everything—it’s the desire to win that defines success. He builds his teams with that mindset, pushing players to be relentless, accountable, and disciplined. He challenges them to outwork the competition, believe in themselves, and take pride in every snap, every tackle, and every game. His mission isn’t just to coach football—it has been to develop young men into leaders, competitors, and champions both on and off the field.
